It provides connection with a CPU via three wires and has an interrupt/alarm feature, allowing the alleviation of software treatment on the side of a host. The S-3511AEFS also works on lower power with the oscillating circuit operated at a constant voltage. Its package uses an extremely small and thin type of eight-pin SSOP. The applications of the S-3511AEFS include cellular phone, PHS, a variety of pagers, TV set and VCR, camera.
