Product Summary
The DAC709KH is a microprocessor-compatible 16-bit digital-to-analog converter. The DAC709KH is a 16-bit converter designed to interface to an 8-bit microprocessor bus. 16- bit data is loaded in two successive 8-bit bytes into parallel 8-bit latches before being transferred into the D/A latch. The DAC709KH is current and voltage output models respectively and is in 24-pin hermetic DIPs. Input coding is Binary Twos Complement (bipolar) or Unipolar Straight Binary (unipolar, when an external logic inverter is used to invert the MSB). In addition, the DAC709KH can be loaded serially (MSB first).
Parametrics
DAC709KH absolute maximum ratings: (1)VDD to COMMON: 0V, +15V; (2)+VCC to COMMON: 0V, +18V; (3)–VCC to COMMON: 0V, –18V; (4)Digital Data Inputs to COMMON: –0.5V, VDD +0.5; (5)DC Current any input: ±10mA; (6)Reference Out to COMMON: Indefinite Short to COMMON; (7)VOUT: Indefinite Short to COMMON; (8)External Voltage Applied to RF: ±18V; (9)External Voltage Applied to D/A Output: ±5V; (10)Power Dissipation: 1000mW; (11)Storage Temperature: –60℃ to +150℃; (12)Lead Temperature (soldering, 10s): 300℃.
Features
DAC709KH features: (1)Two-chip construction; (2)High-speed 16-bit parallel, 8-bit (byte) parallel, and seriainput modes; (3)Double-buffered input register configuration; (4)Vout and iout models.
