The BF98247 is a depletion type field-effect transistor in a plastic X-package with source and substrate interconnected, intended for VHF applications, such as VHF television tuners, FM tuners, with 12V supply voltage. The BF98247 tetrode is protected against excessive input voltage surges by integrated back-to-back diodes between gates and source.
