The S-1170B33PD-OTSTFG is a positive voltage regulator with a low dropout voltage, high output voltage accuracy,and low current consumption developed based onCMOS technology. The S-1170B33PD-OTSTFG provides a lowdropout voltage and large output current, a built-inovercurrent protector prevents the load current fromexceeding the current capacitance of the outputtransistor, and a built-in thermal shutdown circuitprevents damage caused by the heat. An S-1170B33PD-OTSTFG ensures a long battery life. Compared with thevoltage regulators using the conventional CMOSprocess, a larger variety of capacitors are available,including small ceramic capacitors. Small SOT-89-5and 6-Pin HSON(A) packages realize high-densitymounting. Applications are (1)power supply for DVD and CD-ROM drives; (2)power supply for battery-powered devices; (3)power supply for personal communication device; (4)power supply for note PCs.
